Parents & Friends
Active, innovative, working for the St Columba Community |
The College has a very active Parents and Friends Association which is involved in many aspects of the College’s life.
Besides being involved in the many sporting and social activities the P&F plays an important fundraising role within the College. In this capacity we supply the College with many different pieces of equipment while contributing to the main charities the College supports. In addition the P&F makes major contributions to the College’s Building Fund.
The P&F enjoys a close working relationship with all College staff, never losing sight of the main reason for its existence, which is to maintain parent support at a high level of community involvement for the benefit of students. The Association has the responsibility of ensuring that the College moves forward in line with the vision of our Anglican and Catholic Heritage.
The Parents and Friends Association is closely linked with the College Council, as well as empowering the wider community of students, parents and staff to walk the journey of unity with one another.
The Association meets on a monthly basis. All members of the College community are welcome to attend these meetings. The P&F plays an important role in representing the community while striving to achieve cohesiveness and unity. Every parent in the College has a right and is encouraged to participate in its activities.
