College Council
The Council is the administrative body of St Columba College Inc.

It has the important task of planning, managing and developing policy. The  Council is charged with giving effect to the aims of the College as listed in the College’s Constitution, namely:

In collaboration with families the College seeks to:

a. Foster in every student:
  • A desire to serve God and humanity.
  • A respect for truth and justice.
  • A lasting set of moral values.
  • The greatest possible understanding of self and the worth of each individual's contribution to society.

b. Develop the spiritual, religious, social, academic and physical potential of each student in a caring yet disciplined environment.

c. Foster a cooperative relationship between all members of the College community - students, the Anglican and Catholic Churches, staff, parents and local council.

d. Develop a high level of academic, social and personal skills, and to foster creativity and overall excellence.

e. Include children of all backgrounds and abilities.

f. Provide a curriculum that reflects the values of Jesus as proclaimed in the Gospels and to create and foster an environment for learning, in which the Christian year is followed and observed, and in which the life of the participating parishes provides a practical focus for that observance.

g.Help each student appreciate the joy of living.

 h. Encourage members of the College community to take an active part in their own local church and parish communities.
