The St Columba College Development Office is intrinsically linked to the whole development of the College. In particular it manages the College’s Fundraising, Public Relations and Marketing programs. This allows it to create and maintain a consistent, positive and dynamic public image for the College. Additionally, the Office oversees the planning, development and implementation of designated College ‘special’ events and is responsible for the communication of information designed to keep the community informed of the College’s accomplishments and programs.
The Office is responsible for conducting all the College's capital fundraising programs and is focused on raising funds for the College's development.
The new gym was made possible through a $2.5 million grant from the Federal Government's "Local Schools Working Together" (LSWT) grant. The grant, coupled with additional funds from the College, will ensure that the community and our students have a state of the art facility.
The Development Office is also responsible for the production of all College publications. It also has a responsibility to support both the College's Parents and Friends Association and SCCOSA, the College's Old Scholars Association.
In short, the duties undertaken by the Development Office can be broadly grouped into the following categories:
- Marketing, Promotions and Publicity
- Public Relations
- Publications
- Special Events
- Association Support
- Fundraising
